                                                                                                                                                   THE PAINTINGS     

The paintings presented here are oil works on canvas. The paintings are completed with the
purpose to  be perceived  entirely  from a distance,  close to the painting  you  can  become
aware of  fine structures and an wealth of details.  The great decorative aspect is realized by
layers of  colours  first  put on the canvas and then  partly  scraped off.  Intensiv colours may
be used  - however  the  harmony  of  the  colours has always to be maintained.  I am not so
very  interested  in  contents  but  in  realizing  corelations  between  the  surfaces and  their
changing structures.  The composition of  structures and  line  processes  that  are  growing
stronger,  then condense to textures and finally  disappear  in the depth of the colour,  that´s
what´s important to me: The painting as a playground of developping forms, lines and colours
influencing and transforming each other.

                                                                                                                                                   THE TECHNIQUE    

I like to work the mark surface lying before me on the ground. Using tools like spoon and
putty but also  other instruments,  I never forget that it isn´t the technique that makes the
result,  but the capability to differentiate and last but not least the good taste.  Technique
should  answer its purpose to create,  technique shouldn´t be used like a "cheap trick" to
make  an  impression on people.  If  I  need to explain my paintings,  I  just explain which
techniques I had used, the sense of the painting rises contemplating the painting,  I mean
the  sense is the relationship which is given between the  painting  and  the person who is
looking at the painting.

                                                                                                                                                       THE COLOURS    

AN OLD PERSON WISDOM SAYS:  "... THERE IS LIFE IN A PAINTING".

The colours - living,  strong,  cheerful  colours or tender earthy colours - are the center of
attention in any room. The message of the painting is hidden and clear at the same time.
Coloured  surfaces  are  perceived  in  principle  in the same way by different persons, so
it is  possible  to  decide  clearly  which  atmosphere  you  prefere  to  have in your room.

Modern and filigran:  

is the effect of the frameworks of aluminum in "silver matt optics" that support
the aesthetic and the individuality of each painting.
